Aayoooooo mi Pamilya!!! Wow what a week! The MTC was quite the adventure at first but after a full week here I'm starting to get used to it. my kauban (companion) is awesome and his name is elder hoffman. He was a ballroom dancer in high school and competed at nationals several times but he refuses to break the rule and show me his moves. standing at a staggering 5 feet 4 inches i wouldn't ever be able to hear him if it weren't for his powerful voice that is usually overpowering everyone else in class right next to my ear. The Lord has decided to test me right off the bat because i can barely hear myself think as he runs around are room screaming the first vision in cebuano. speaking of the language, its pretty tough. Im getting words down and we are going into grammar tonight but it might take me a little bit to get this whole thing down. The spirit is so strong here which is awesome and me and my companion have taught our investigator Ellie four times not which is cool but it's hard speaking to someone that only understands a little bit of english but the espirtu santos was still mayaao. in the lessons im in charge of asking questions to get to know her more so she can figure out what she needs, most of the time i like to keep it nice and lighthearted. two days ago i asked her "unsa imong pabarito cookie?" (which i will let you folks back at home figure out what that means;) and she started dying of laughter which made me happy and she told us oreos. so my kauban and i brought her oreos to her lesson yesterday and you already know she took a selfie with us. anyway i have been playing basketball a lot and crossing some kids up, but today was my first P-day and hopefully yall can get back to me throughout the day and i will check back. also yesterday our disrtict leader got lost so we had to go look for him for like 30 minutes which was the most eventful thing that has happened to far. i love my district and my roomates hahah elder wadsworth is the same height as elder hoffman and wadsworth's kauban is named elder rogers and he is from syracuse utah. we have a lot of fun at nights and its an awesome time. I will get some pics up in this one hopefully so stay tuned!
love you all!
Press forward in faith
